Project Manager

Information Systems of Maryland (ISM), LLC is seeking a Project Manager with an entrepreneurial spirit to join our growing team.  ISM is an IT consulting firm that specializes in providing small to medium sized organizations with IT project solutions, security solutions and talent acquisition services on a Direct Hire and Temp-to-perm basis.  To meet the increasing needs of our organization we are seeking a Project Manager that wants to take part in our success.

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is a project manager generalist and will be working with ISM’s customers to guide and direct various projects.

ORGANIZATIONAL STATUS:

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Infrastructure and will interface at all levels of the firm including our customer(s).

SKILLS, ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Preparing and maintaining a detailed project plan. This plan must identify and assign tasks, major milestones for the efforts of the project team, the estimated dates on which they occur, dependencies, and indications of critical path.
• Coordinating all meetings and other project activities.
• Conducting regular project status meetings and publishing meeting minutes.
• Managing all vendor resources, including Information Technology resources.
• Reviewing all project deliverables before submission to Project team leaders
• Creating and maintaining project budgets and related budget materials.
• Identifying project risks and carrying out risk mitigation actions.
• Briefing key stakeholders routinely on project progress, issues, and risks.
• Ensuring the proper organization and documentation is in place.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree; Candidate can supplement degree requirement with 5-10 years of functional and verifiable work experience.

Master’s Degree, desirable.

PMP certification required.

Experience:

• Experience working with commercial, state or federal government agencies/environment a plus
• Demonstrated experience serving as a project manager
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work in a self-directed manner to accomplish objectives
• Demonstrated ability to be organized and multi-task; establish and follow priorities
• Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft-based office applications
